Birthday Blessings

Can I just share how blessed I feel right now? Yesterday was my 19th birthday (otherwise known as the anniversary of my 18th birthday) and I have never felt more surrounded by love, more blessed – my friends and family went to great lengths to make it special for me.
For example, my mom and I were able to share a lovely lunch with my grandma, a close friend of ours, and her mother after our French class.  We had such a wonderful time, and I felt so blessed to know three such amazing women that I got to share the afternoon with. (Did I mention that my mom made cinnamon rolls for breakfast!?)
Oh but wait, to top it off, my mom and I went to dinner and saw a movie that night as well – A Thousand Words, starring Eddie Murphy, who is ALWAYS a hoot.
I was even blessed with a beautiful bouquet of my favorite flowers, sunflowers, from my father, when we got home.
Even before this amazingly lovely day, we spent a weekend up in Payson with my cousins, aunt and uncle, and grandparents to celebrate with them. I got to see my new cousins and spend time with them – it was such a blessing to have that special time with them.
I was dreading the 1-9 birthday (and am still sort of dreading the 2-0…gulp), but everyone truly helped make it a blessing, I was surrounded by love and family and I can’t think of a way I would rather spend it!! So blessed.
